Mark Proud is an Air Force veteran, police officer, and corporate executive with 27 years of law enforcement experience. He has been a law enforcement instructor for 19 years, a Private Security Unit Instructor for 11 years and is currently a Private Security Firearms Academy Commander.
Mark retired from a midsized suburban police department in central Ohio after twenty-four years of full-time service. Throughout his career, he was the agency’s rangemaster, armorer, primary instructor, and full-time training coordinator. He currently serves, in a reserve capacity, as a training officer for a village police department in Ohio and is an adjunct instructor for the Columbus State Community College Police Academy. He is also a master instructor for Wrap Technologies.
The instructional topics in which he specializes include firearms, defensive tactics, active shooter, use of force, baton, chemical spray, women’s self-protection, driving, situational awareness, and de-escalation. He incorporated his business, Blueline Training Solutions in 2011. His mission is to provide clients with the necessary knowledge and skills to create a safe and secure environment for their employees, officers, and the public.
